The Turnip Goblin

This is the turnip goblin that I built around an old gas can that I purchased at an antique market. This was a huge learning experience and I utilized a lot of new techniques that helped bring him to life. I tore him apart for parts to reuse in a different prop but I still enjoy looking at these photos.

  1. I love your turnip carvings. I think I'm going to have to give that a try this year. They look so neat, especially once they dry up. I also need to give you credit for dismantling a prop for parts. I have such a hard time giving up anything, even if I would be better off without it. I am a Halloween hoarder =)

    1. Thanks! I just carved them with a craft knife and hollowed them with a metal spoon.

and I totally get it when it comes to breaking down props, he was an experimental piece for me so I just took what I learned while I made him and put it into the witches for the 2023 display.
